Please find posted a selection of papers from the most recent (of last year)
leading DB conferences. 

Pick one that you like. Some of you have already found a paper, and don't need
to pick one from those posted. Of course, even so, they can still change mind
and pick one from the posted instead. 

You should submit a report which will contain:

1. A short description of the problem studied in the paper you select.
2. Simple explanations of the intuition behind the algorithms in the paper.
   (Illustrate with simple examples.)
3. A list of things you *don't like* in the paper, either: 
      (a) because you think it could be done better, or 
      (b) because you didn't fully understand it. 
4. If (a) provide a suggestion of how it can be done better or simpler.
   If (b) give your best guess about how it could be. 

Your report should be not more than 10 single-spaced pages. 
Additionally, you should prepare a 20 minute presentation. 
We will set two days (in April) for the presentations.
