Foundations and applications of algorithms; specifically, algorithms for combinatorial optimization, distributed computing, and succinct data structures; design, analysis and evaluation of scalable algorithms for data mining and (social) network analysis; algorithms for data privacy and security incl. anonymization and differential privacy.
