***** Never a Dull Moment: This rousing adventure novel by first time author Brian Wyvill is terrific fun.Joe Mahoney (author of A Time and a Place )
**** Historical novel of the Napoleonic Wars, with a linked present-day story with an usual twist he first of a series of unusual historical novels. We were hooked by it: a sort of historical novel combined with literary virtual reality? The well-researched historical information and useful gaps in that – which provide hooks for the fictional narrative – reminded of the late George MacDonald Fraser’s brilliant Flashman Papers series.Amazon Uk reviewer
**** Great Rainy Day or Holiday Reading Immerse yourself into a fantasy but historically accurate adventure around the Mediterranean of Lord Nelson and Napolean Bonaparte in 1798. This is a book for a rainy day binge reading - it’s hard to put down. It’s an action book with unlikely heroes - male and female. The body count is enormous! Hollywood would love it as an action movie in the Master and Commander vein. I learned a lot of new words and sailing terms that I had not heard of before reading this book. This may help me in beating my grandson at Scrabble.John Penhallow (Australia)
***** A really great read, not my usual type of book. It was a really compelling read. There is a lot of intrigue and the story flows really well. There is action, mystery, and a lot more. Give it a try, you don't need to b a naval history buff, but if you are you'll probably be in heaven.L. Harrison (USA)
***** Time travel and sailing ships A time-traveling sailing ship adventure - if you're fascinated by old-time naval cannon battles or just like a good action adventure, this is a good read.Amazon Customer (USA)
