The Western Shield is the at the highest level of Canadian
female hockey for teams playing below the AAA level of
hockey. It brings together the champions from
the Western provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba,
Saskatchewan, the Yukon, and the Northwest
territories. This year also includes the host team,
the Saanich Braves.
