Eustace Chubb

A high-tech casual user

Eustace is at his desk in his large windowed office. It is at least an hour before his next appointment so he decides he'll check his email and figure out what he is doing for dinner tonight. He knows he wants something mild and he has some ground beef and eggplant sitting at home he should use or throw out. Eustace remembers he is out of milk and none is due to be delivered for a few days. He could stop on the way home but would rather not.

After "point and pecking" the few ingredients and stating mild as a stipulation Eustace is presented with a few different types of dishes. The description of Moussaka sounds quite interesting. There are 5 different recipes for moussaka, 4 of which have high ratings. Eustace checks out the two with the shortest preparation time. One of the recipes contains yogurt which doesn't have at home, so he opts for the other (although the use of cinnamon in that recipe kind of scares him, so he may just leave some of it out). With one click he saves it as a file for transfer to his PDA. He syncs his PDA at the end of every work day as he leaves his office, and uses it as a reference while he cooks.

When Eustace arrives home he turns on his 52" widescreen plasma tv to the news and heads to the kitchen. Eustace brings up the new recipe on his PDA and prepares the main course while oven heats up. He remembers a salad he made last week that would go well with this but can't remember how to make the special blended red onion dressing. Luckily it is still on his PDA (since it is a favorite) so he looks it up and makes it while his moussaka cooks. Eustace liked the salad recipe so much he rated it five stars on his PDA so that it would be uploaded when he synced at work the next day. Dinner already smells great, but this is no surprise; Eustance hasn't had a highly rated recipe go bad on him yet.
