Colm MacGillicuddy

A recipe contributor

It's a rainy Sunday afernoon, so Colm decides to work a little more on submitting his recipe collection. So far most of his recipes have been well received and highly rated by the community. Today he enters his once secret recipe for gooseberry crumble. He quickly enters the ingredients and types up a quick description along with instruction on how to prepare the item. He decides it is best described as a baked item and a dessert with an Irish origin. Colm remembers a great drink recipe he found early for a "Belfast Brownie", which is a martini with irish creme, and would definitely pair well with this item, so he adds it as a suggestion, along with some coffee drinks he thinks are appropriate (some of which he even submitted himself earlier).

After submitting this recipe he goes to his history of submissions to check if anyone has rated his "braised beef in stout", his own take on "coq au vin". There are some comments on the recipe and it has been compared to Julia Child's classic version of "coq au vin". He is very impressed at how many people try out new unrated recipes, although some of his recipes have seemingly been lost in the system. Colm particularly likes competing in "call for recipes" competitions. In the most recent competition he entered an Irish version of the of the fajita, in which he substituted the classic cumin and chili with spices more Irish in nature and a good dose of whiskey.
